The Sheffield headquarters serves clients via regional facilities in Aberdeen and Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The site spans over 110,000 sq.ft. and includes advanced distribution technology for loose components, hose assembly manufacturing, sub-assembly kitting, and tube manipulation. With about 200 employees across three sites in the UK.
The project’s main goals were to foster collaboration between manufacturing and office teams, develop social and activity zones with proper acoustic management, and enhance staff wellbeing through a dedicated outdoor breakout area and a darts zone for the company league. Additionally, there was a request for flexible meeting rooms with a dedicated tea point for users.
The large meeting room has been divided into three sections, with an operable wall between two, allowing for larger collaborations. Each meeting space now includes technology to support external integrations. A small drinks area offering both hot and cold beverages has been added to facilitate meetings. Outside the communal breakout space, a dedicated darts area has been set up, providing acoustic containment and enabling energetic team activities without disturbing the quieter restaurant areas. The dining and breakout zones have been upgraded with multifunctional furniture, suitable for group collaboration or individual work outside of mealtimes. Additionally, outdoor seating with a decorative tiled floor has been introduced.
Staff benefit from a more flexible and supportive work environment that accommodates different tasks and working styles throughout the day. Fully equipped meeting rooms enable seamless collaboration with external teams and support hybrid working, while the dedicated refreshments area allows meetings to run more efficiently without disrupting other workspaces. Social and activity areas, including the acoustically contained darts space, encourage informal interaction and strengthen team relationships without distracting from focus elsewhere. Enhanced dining and breakout areas give staff the option to collaborate, work independently, or recharge outside formal desk settings. The addition of external seating further supports wellbeing by offering access to fresh air and an alternative environment for breaks or informal discussions. All the improvements made are evidence of Stauff’s culture and how it supports its team.
